Reward out for palm tree vandals
To the editor:
Happy New Year! This year has started with great optimism and joy as we all try to move forward to a better and prosperous new year -God knows we could all use a good season- but the evil doers who’s world is full of ugliness and hate continue to spread Hate and Pessimism.
I came into work to Armando’s Day Spa a few days ago and found the “Palm Tree Vandals” had struck again … this time snapping one of my Palm Trees in half.
While I was watering the other two trees, a fellow islander stopped to express his disgust over this senseless vandalism. I was glad he stopped because he reminded me that we all must fight against the hate mongers who want everyone to be as miserable as they are. He proceeded to offer me a donation towards purchasing a new tree. As I refused his offer, he told me that Armando’s has always donated to the many charitable or fund-raising events that we as an island constantly put on to help the needy or friends who have been stricken by tragedy. So, I accepted his generous gift. Thanks, Tom.
Luckily I have been too busy at the spa this week to go out to replace the tree because this morning I came in to the Spa only to find the other two trees vandalized and broken in half as well.
Times are tough, and I’m sure someone knows who did this. So, I am offering a $500 REWARD to anyone who can give information leading to the conviction of these vandals.
Also, as a few more friends have offered to help, I am asking anyone that would like to see Good triumph over Evil who would like to donate to the New Palm Trees that now have to be purchased. Make any such donations to:
