Civic group coordinator thanks community
To the editor:
The Fort Myers Beach Civic Association would like to thank all those who made our 15th birthday celebration at Times Square on New Year’s Eve such a happy day and a great success: all those who baked cupcakes, Publix for their generous donation of cupcakes, Winds for their tee-shirts donation, all of the Beach restaurants and bars who donated the cheer for our wheelbarrow-filled-with-cheer raffle (wheelbarrow donated by Sun Hardware); the wonderful entertainment by Mary Winner, the many who sold raffle tickets, distributed cupcakes and souvenirs, sold the tees, helped to set up for the party, and all who helped to clean up after the party, to the Observer for their continuing announcement of the event, and to the Island Sandpaper for their coverage, and, finally, to the Town of Fort Myers Beach for their commitment to the Civic Association with Town funds, so that we could celebrate the 15 years since our incorporation.
