Little Black Dress Night grows during holidays

Several weeks ago we turned in an article about the Ladies of Little Black Dress Night from the Beach! It’s all about a fun group who get together once a month at different restaurants in our community…for a little give and take…and a lot of dancing and fun. We thought we had done well on that particular outing to Minerva’s Grill & Bar, in November, to the tune of 60 ladies, but on Thursday, Dec. 2nd, our ‘night’ reached a new level!
Karrie Arno, LBD Coordinator, had set up our restaurant of choice for upstairs at Nervous Nellie’s Crazy Waterfront Eatery, on the Back Bay. The upstairs bar, otherwise known as ‘Ugly’s,’ was forewarned that we may have a large group and to have plenty of staff on hand. As the date grew close, our holiday Little Black Dress Night bloomed into a huge group and to get it all down for posterity’s sake, professional photographer, Alan D. Charles, offered to get it ‘in the box’ for us for free! And he did…thank you, thank you Alan! At any rate, a good 90 plus of our Beach ladies had a ball from 6 p.m., to…well, whenever! As usual, toward the end of the evening, husbands and boyfriends showed up and we totally filled the venue!
It was a wonderful, fun evening! We want to offer our very sincere thanks to Alan Lessard, Manager, and his fantastic staff for truly superb service at Ugly’s; to Nervous Nellie’s for the great hors d’oeuvres they provided all evening; to the gentlemen of “Vytas,” who played awesome Classic Rock and Blues to dance to; and to a bunch of classy ladies who know how to have a classy, great time!
