Hampton Inn GM reaches out
To the editor:
In times so bad, I thought I’d share this local act of kindness during troubled times. Jerry Rodriguez, general manager of the Hampton Inn and Suites, 11281 Summerlin Road, near Summerlin Square, reached out to wrap a blanket of warmth to those less fortunate recently by donating 150 pillows, boxes of sheets, comforters and towels – enough to completely fill a 14-foot box truck – to the local Salvation Army Halfway House and Recovery Center.
Jerry and the Hampton Inn truly understand the needs of the community. When the opportunity becomes available next time, they’ll be there to help. It’s so heartwarming how people recognize that everyone is not as fortunate in these trouble times. What an honor to have such an outstanding local business with such an open heart for the community. My hat is off to Jerry and the Hampton Inn.
Thank you.
