START president thanks chamber
To the editor:
On behalf of START, I would like to thank the Fort Myers Beach Chamber of Commerce for their support during the American Sandsculpting Championship & Beach Festival. START is a grass roots, non-profit, Florida-based organization dedicated to improve the quality of our marine waters through research, public education, and programs that restore marine habitats, preserve marine species, and promote healthy beaches and coastal waterways.
With their generous donation of booth space, the Fort Myers Beach Chamber of Commerce allowed START to increase its efforts at public outreach in Southwest Florida. And thanks also to the Lee County Visitor & Convention Bureau for their logistical arrangements for our booth this past weekend.
