Mound House caretakers are appreciative

To the editor:

When I picked up the Fort Myers Beach Observer (recently), it was absolutely wonderful to read the excellent article you had written for our Christmas Fundraiser on the front page no less. Thank you very much.

You turned an ordinary announcement into such an interesting article. We appreciate you mentioning the grant that we received for the landscaping so that the underground exhibit will open. That, along with mentioning that bit of history as to what the Mound House is as well as stating the project’s mission, was so helpful especially at this time as so many residents and visitors are anxious for it to be opened.

We all thank you for your help in writing this so we can reach the public to become aware of our event and that our fund raiser can be a success.
