Still Pristine campaign continues to carry message

2 min read

To the editor:

While the Lee County Visitor & Convention Bureau’s “Still Pristine” campaign featuring nine days of FreshTV has concluded on the television airways, the campaign carries on to address consumer misperceptions and reassure visitors that the Gulf oil spill is not affecting our area’s coastline and islands.

Each of the ads were filmed, edited and aired on the same day through July 1. The commercials aired nationally during ABC network evening news and on The Weather Channel, as well as in major in-state markets. Results from the first week of the campaign saw an increase of 16 percent on our web traffic from the week before and 32 percent increase from the same period the month before.

Now in Phase II, the campaign continues on the super highway living all over the Internet through the online ad network, social media and traditional media sources with “Bring Dan Back.” You can help the campaign live on by including a post on your own social media site(s). An example that you may want to use: Dan just wrapped up his nine days of exploring The Beaches of Fort Myers & Sanibel confirming that our beaches are Still Pristine, but he doesn’t want to leave. Check out the latest spot to hear his plea and vote to bring him back at www.fortmyers-sanibel.com/beaches_now

We invite you to watch all of the commercials by visiting our consumer website at www.FortMyers-Sanibel.com, and vote to bring Dan back to The Beaches of Fort Myers & Sanibel. Watch for more details shortly.
