County buys foreclosed property
To the editor:
Kudos to Ray Judah and the other Board of County Commissioners on their recent vote to purchase the foreclosed beach property!
Thankfully, they had the foresight to recognize this unique opportunity. Let’s hope that the commissioners will utilize this same foresight in planning and developing this land.
As a Beach property owner for many years, I continue to witness the worsening of traffic coming on and off the Beach. I constantly hear comments from residents and vacationers alike about avoiding the Beach, its shops and its restaurants because of the traffic gridlock. While other cities try to encourage pedestrian walkways and bikeways, Fort Myers Beach has never fully addressed this problem.
Now is the time!
