Job Fair to help unemployed
To the editor:
We are blessed to live in the Gulf Coast area with its gorgeous views, abundant sunshine and friendly people. Unfortunately, as you know, there is also a high unemployment and foreclosure rate here. We at the Estero United Methodist Church want to ease this challenge by offering a “Hands Full of Hope” job fair on our premises at 8088 Lord’s Way in Estero. Our church is conveniently located next to Broadway and Highway 41.
The job fair will be held on Saturday, Sept. 4, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
To make this a successful venture, we need your assistance. We invite you to attend this job fair if you have some job offerings. Please contact Melanie Salava at 765-337-1883 for more information and with questions. Space will be allocated for tables and chairs, along with display set up and computer hookup. Though we encourage your actual attendance, we will also have a “resource sheet” available for those wanting to publicize job listings for applicants to contact your company later.
Finally, we request your company to consider donating a door prize to be given to the job applicants, as a means to encourage an increased attendance rate and to promote a favorable public perception for your company.
Thank you for your consideration.
We look forward to your call and participation.
Melanie Salava
