Leadership conference graduate thanks Town
To the editor:
I would like to thank the Town of Fort Myers Beach for the amazing Beach Leadership Conference.The three-day event was packed full of informative presentations and interesting activities. A special “hats off” goes to the members the Community Resources Advisory Board who planned and produced the conference with much thought to the content and excellent organization.
This was an exceptional opportunity to learn about our town governance, public works, staff, and the advisory committees. We also toured a number of our town’s wonderful environmental, educational, and historical sites. Personally, I now feel I have the tools and information to become actively involved in ways that will be meaningful to me and allow me to lend my skills that will be most helpful to the town. Thanks also to all who particpated from staff, commitee volunteers, and attendees.As a relatively newcomer to the beach, it was a great experience to meet so many awesome residents of my community. One final note, we really had fun!
