Lost purse returned

1 min read

To the editor:

I love this “family island”. However, I’m very disappointed that whoever found the lady’s black leather purse that fell from the closed car trunk, on Jan. 29, between Redfish Road and Chapel Street, somewhere along Estero Boulevard, did not return it. It is not too late to put it in a mailbox, or turn it in to police, or just return it to the owner. Purse contained plenty of identification.

(Four days later….)

Our faith in humanity has been restored. As of 10 a.m. this morning (February 2) the purse was outside our front door in a clear plastic bag. We wish to thank whomever put it there. Naturally, everything except the money (not much) was returned. The money was not important, the contents of the purse mattered greatly. Thanks again.
