Washington’s shameful behavior
To the editor:
Once again, we’re not getting our money’s worth from the political crowd in Washington. We’re fighting two wars with unemployment at desparate levels, people are losing their homes and the national debt has reached the point where our children’s future has been mortgaged and China owns us.
And still, we get nothing from Washington but the ‘business as usual’ attitude… which means talk and more talk and absolutely no solutions. It’s as if we’re paying these people just to babble.
It is finally time for everyone to recognize that what we think, or what we know, or even what we believe in the end is of little consequence. The only thing that matters is what we do, and the result produced from these actions.
Action and accomplishment is what we desperately need. From the President and down through the Congress, we need the speeches and the endless debates to end. There’s too much suffering in America, and it’s long past the time for solutions to surface. The current ‘gang’ don’t seem to get it. They appear to be looking at things as if they’re wearing the patch on the good eye, and they expect to keep their jobs withour producing. We need to let them know that the party’s over. We demand results.
