Halloween Fright Night a Great Success
To the editor:
Approximately 330 kids came out and enjoyed the carnival games, cake walk, ghost stories, costume contest and the scariest haunted house the beach has ever seen! This year the games were set up carnival style which allowed kids the opportunity to win extra candy! Some of the favorite games were Balloon Pop, Baseball Toss, Duck Pond and Pumpkin Bowling. When the kids weren’t playing games or parading around in the costume contest, they were lined up to get a good scare in the Haunted House by all of the creatures of the night.
The night would not have been such a hit without all the help from our wonderful volunteers and sponsors! I would like to thank the Fort Myers Beach Fire Department for all of their help building the Haunted House, the Beach Elementary PTO for helping feeding all the hungry stomach as well as all the volunteers that gave up their time and energy to ensure a fun, safe Halloween Party! I would also like to thank Winn Dixie, Perkins, Century 21, Lahaina Realty, Outer Island Mortgage, Topps Supermarket, Fishtale Marina, Red Coconut, CVS, and Conderous Builders for donating all the goodies!
We hope to see everyone again next year!
