Code enforcer receives big thanks
To the editor:
Thank you Mayor Larry Kiker and interim Town Manager Jack Green for returning our call to the Town concerning a “Lake” across our property, caused by heavy rains which could not drain off due to two raised driveways on the property next door, that were constructed without swales.
David Hedrich [Code Enforcement] came out to inspect the “Lake” problem and promptly contacted the owner and a construction person to determine what could be done.
Within a week, the problem was addressed by removal of the driveways and a raised plant-mound in their midst and gravel was put in, allowing for water flow off our property. Mr. Hedrich came out five times during the re-construction day and even stopped on his way home to ascertain that all was being done correctly.
We thank Mr. Hedrich and ALLSEE Investments for helping us with our “Lake” problem.
We also hope the Town will give Mr. Hedrich a permanent position, because he knows how to get things done and treats everyone in an affable manner.
David gets our vote for the best Code Enforcement person Fort Myers Beach has had during the twenty-two years we’ve lived here!
