Local church holds fund raiser
To the editor:
All proceeds from St. Hilary’s Episcopal Church’s seventh annual Holiday Bazaar, Luncheon and Raffle will be donated to Community Cooperative Ministry, Inc.
At this time, there are increasing numbers of unemployed individuals and homeless families due to foreclosure on their homes. Community Cooperative Ministry, Inc. is facing increasing demands for its services. In addition to the Soup Kitchen this ministry provides Meals on Wheels, on-site day care and guidance to individuals in locating needed assistance and access to other services. They need all the support we can give them.
St. Hilary’s annual Holiday Bazaar, Raffle and Lunch will be held on Nov. 14, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Lunch is from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The church is located at 5011 McGregor Blvd. at the corner of Colonial under the Midpoint Bridge. The theme of this year’s Bazaar is Mrs. Santa’s Workshop. Featured will be the creative efforts of St. Hilary’s parishioners. There will be holiday crafts, Christmas gifts, home baked goods, live plants, wreaths, floral arrangements and a mink teddy bear. The raffle will be for Raggedy Ann and Andy, a lovely water color, Symphony tickets, Broadway Palm Dinner tickets and dinner at Stonewood Grill and Tavern.
Tickets for the lunch are $7.50, and will be available at St. Hilary’s office and at the door. Raffle tickets are $1 each or six for $5.
All proceeds will be donated to the Community Cooperative Ministry, Inc. You can help us support this important agency.
