Remembering a favorite son

To the editor:

Some of you will join me in remembering “Tom” Lee when he filled the position of Director of the Ostego Bay Marine Science Center. We all send out deepest condolences to Betty Goodacre and Cathy Goodacre-Lee in their loss.

While “Tom” preferred outdoor activities such as manning the boat for water-quality testing, most of his duties kept him indoors -answering numerous phone calls, networking, training volunteers, gathering grants and fund-raising. One fund-raiser, the silent auction, began as part of the first and second annual wine-tasting event. What great fun we had!
