Governor offers Swine Flu tips
To the editor:
While H1N1 Swine Flu has been a relatively mild form of flu, it is hard for us to determine how active it will be in the future.
As we begin another school year, some simple precautions will help us stay healthy, and I encourage parents and teachers to help our students understand a few simple reminders.
Make it a routine to wash your hands often with soap and water. Cough into your elbow or into a tissue, not into your hands. Stay home from school or work if you feel sick. These tips can make a difference in the health of our state – and keep you, your family and your community healthy.
Keeping our children healthy is a partnership between health officials, schools and parents. Our health experts at the state and local level have been working closely with our schools to ensure that we keep our children safe – and that our children continue learning more information.
