Lee Lester Luenser

Lee Lester Luenser, age 85, of Mt. Horeb, WI and formerly of Ft. Myers Beach, FL, died on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at Meriter Hospital in Madison. He was born on April 14, 1930 to Carl William Luenser and Edna Earl Timm in Blue Island, Illinois. Lee was married for 59 years to Doris J. Staley. He worked for Blue Cross Blue Shield for many years and then worked as a realtor. He was a member of the Pewaukee Masonic Lodge and a council member at St. Peters Evangelical Lutheran Church in Ft. Myers Beach. After 20 years in Ft. Myers Beach, he had recently moved back to Mt. Horeb, Wisconsin to be close to his family and became a member of Mt. Horeb Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his children: William (Lynn Sheldon) Luenser of Chicago, IL and Linda (Bob May) Luenser of Madison/Mt. Horeb; grandchildren: Suzanne A. Luenser and Andrew Lee Kicmol; a brother, Paul Luenser of Orlando, FL; and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; his son, Gregory Brian Luenser; and his best friend and cousin, Donald Timm.
Memorial Services will be at 11:00 am on Monday, September 21, 2015 at MT. HOREB EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN CHURCH in Mt. Horeb, WI with Pastor John Twiton officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 – 10:50 am prior to the service on Monday at the church. Burial next to Doris in Ft. Myers Beach will be at a later date.
