John W. “Corky” Hobb Jr.

John W. “Corky” Hobb Jr., 75, of Fort Myers died on July 24, 2013 at his residence. He was born on April 26, 1938 in Syracuse, NY, a child of John W. and Esther (Schaft) Hobb Sr.
A resident of Fort Myers for the past 15 years, he previously lived in E. Greenbush, NY. He served in the U.S. Army from 1957 to 1960 and was employed by New York Central, Penn Central and Conrail, when he retired in 1998 he was a maintenance supervisor. He held memberships in the American Legion, Moose and the VFW all on Fort Myers Beach, the ELKS in NY, the EAGLES in Cape Coral, FL and was a life member of the Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Marilyn A. (Dunham) Hobb, his children, Jeffrey (Cathy) Hobb of Chittenango, NY, Colleen (Joseph) Powers of Hudson, NH, Jennifer (Daniel) O’Neil of Castleton, NY and John Hobb III of Albany, NY, 8 grandchildren, his brothers, Richard (Jean) Hobb of NC and Dennis Hobb of Syracuse, NY and his sister, Mary Clark of Syracuse, NY.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his brother, Philip Hobb.
