Kathleen Kennedy Glynn, 95

Born in St. Louis, Mo., Nov. 13, 1918, long-time resident of Fort Myers Beach, Florida, Kathleen Kennedy (Kay) Glynn, 94, passed peacefully into the next life at Hope Hospice in Fort Myers, May 7, 2013. Ever cheerful and loving, Kay demanded little of others and forgave much.
A graduate of William Woods College, Fulton, Mo., Kay was a dance instructor and a longtime member of the Sweet Adelines singing organization. She loved music, books and art, and was a wizard of crossword puzzles. With her constant smile and ready laugh, she brought joy to her many friends and her loving family.
Preceded in death by her former husband, the late John Michael Glynn, Jr., and her older son, Michael Kennedy Glynn. Survived by her son, J. Patrick Glynn, of Falls Church, Va.; grandsons, Andrew Gray Glynn, of Falls Church, Va., and Christian Kennedy Glynn, of Washington, DC; granddaughters, Jennifer Barton (Andy), of Nashville, Tenn.; Holly Schwab (Stephen), of Fredericksburg, Va., and Heather Gniazdowski (Ian), of Haymarket, Va.; and eight loving great-grandchildren.
A private memorial service at Estero Beach Club East, Fort Myers Beach, with Kay’s cremated remains to be cast upon the Gulf of Mexico is pending. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hope Hospice, Fort Myers, will be welcomed.
