Aldi to open two new Cape Coral stores in November
Aldi will open two new stores in Cape Coral as part of its aggressive national expansion plan to become the third-largest U.S. grocery retailer by store count by the end of 2022.
One of the stores will be located at 1481 SW Pine Island Road and the other at 2301 Del Prado Blvd S. The chain has an exiting store at 1843 Pine Island Road.
Aldi promotes itself as a provider high-quality, affordable food.
To celebrate, both stores will host grand openings.
The Southwest Pine Island Road Aldi will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday, Nov. 7, at 8:30 a.m., followed by its popular Golden Ticket giveaway, offering gift cards to the first 100 customers.
Shoppers can also enter a sweepstakes for a chance to win a year’s supply of Aldi produce.
There will be a separate ribbon cutting on Thursday, Nov, 14, at 8:30 a.m. for the 2301 Del Prado Blvd S. location, followed by a Golden Ticket giveaway and sweepstakes for a year’s supply of Aldi produce.

No matter your preferences or your lifestyle, ALDI has options for everyone, including even more fresh and convenient choices,” said Chris Hewitt, Royal Palm Beach division vice president for Aldi in a prepared statement announcing the openings. “Our passion is making sure high-quality food is available to all shoppers, and we’re looking forward to making that a reality with our two new Cape Coral stores.”
The new Cape Coral Aldi store layouts feature expansive refrigeration space to accommodate the products people want most. Aldi recently expanded its product offerings, making 20% of its total selection new.
“This expansion is part of the company’s aggressive national growth and remodel plan, and it includes a 40% increase in its fresh food selection, with many organic, convenient and easy-to-prepare options,” the release states. “ALDI stores also feature open ceilings, natural lighting and environmentally friendly building materials.”
Both Cape Coral stores will be open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday.
Aldi carries a “streamlined selection of exclusive products and national brands,” officials said.
Aldi also offers online grocery delivery service through Instacart at “nearly 100% of all ALDI stores and to customers in more than 10,000 ZIP codes.”
