Florida Department of Health in Lee County is offering school immunization walk-in clinic hours
The Florida Department of Health in Lee County is reminding parents of kindergartners, 7th graders, out-of-state transfers and college students to make sure their children’s immunizations are up to date before the start of the new school year.
The department is hosting walk-in clinic hours to provide services only for back to school immunizations. All students are required to receive the Tdap booster before entering 7th grade. Children may receive the Tdap booster as early as age 11.
Vaccines are free of charge for children through age 18.
The Florida Department of Health is at 3920 Michigan Ave., Fort Myers.
Hours and dates are:
* Through Aug. 2 – 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
* Aug. 3 – 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
* Aug. 5-9 – 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
* Aug. 12 – 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
* Aug. 13 – 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Travel vaccinations will not be provided during the back to school immunization walk-in clinic hours. Normal business hours will resume Wednesday, Aug. 14, and appointments will be necessary for immunizations.
