Honorable or dishonorable?
To the editor:
Every time we turn around a politician is babbling nonsense while cheating the American tax payers.
In this instance we have elected officials being paid to do a job and, instead of working and earning their salary, they’re out interviewing for another position. It seems to me that when an employee takes time away from their job, to search for other employment, the honest person would not accept remuneration for a job they’re not doing.
Ask the Democrats why it’s OK to ignore their jobs and accept their salaries while running around the country interviewing for another position and, in typical political drivel, they’ll answer the question by saying “that’s the way it’s always been.” The disingenuous answer is exactly why respect for politicians no longer exists.
It’s long past the time when the lying and the cheating ends and we return to truthfulness, respect, and admiration. Politicians accepting monies for work not being done is nothing short of stealing taxpayer dollars. Stealing is a crime and this kind of rip-off by elected officials is a disgusting example of why “the swamp” needs to be cleaned out.
The main-stream media needs to stop focusing on nonsense and return to meaningful and non-partisan reporting, exposing all injustices!
