Chamber event puts focus on north Cape
All aboard, Cape Coral residents, for a taste – and a sip, from some of the best eateries the north Cape has to offer.
The Chamber of Commerce of Cape Coral is hosting the first-ever North Cape Coral Food & Fun Trolley Tour this Friday, June 7, from 7-11 p.m., where locals can sample a food and drink special from various establishments in style.
Trolley-goers will be able to check-in at four different locations and chug on over to the 10 different stops to sample each location’s treat.
“Our members spoke, and we listened,” said Chamber President and CEO, Donna Germain. “The Chamber of Commerce of Cape Coral is very proud to represent more than 825 businesses throughout all of Cape Coral and beyond and many of those businesses reside in the north end of the Cape. We are such a large city and are constantly growing, we feel it’s important to showcase everything Cape Coral has to offer.
“This event is designed to give everyone a little taste of what north Cape Coral has to offer. We had an enthusiastic response when we started pitching the idea to the restaurants in that area. They were all ready to jump on board.”
Just as the local restaurants jumped on board for this event, residents can jump on board a trolly for just $20 per person, with food and drink samples included, and also be eligible for prizes.
Participating locations include:
Bubba’s Roadhouse & Saloon
Bert’s Bar
Foster’s Grille of Cape Coral
IRagazzi Pizza
Beef ‘O’ Brady’s Cape Coral
Stevie Tomatoes Sports Page Cape Coral
Buffalo Wild Wings
Hooked Island Grill
Diamond Billiards Sportsbar & Grill
German American Social Club
Some of the delectable and delicious treats participants may enjoy along the way include margarita fish bites with chipotle ranch, Philly egg rolls and buffalo chicken egg rolls, moonshine baby back ribs, specialty pizza, buffalo cauliflower, red margaritas, Pine Island Punch, pina coladas, Georgia Peach Mule and much more.
Participants will get a “passport” that can be stamped at each location for a chance to take home something more than a satisfied stomach. Each attendee must get their passport stamped at every location to be eligible for prize drawings.
“Some of the prizes included in the give-away is an excursion for 10 people at Bonefish Grill valued at more than $500. We also have a great ‘staycation’ package from Seminole Casino Hotel that includes a free stay, dinner and some other goodies,” said Germain.
Event day check-in begins at 6:30. Check-in locations are the German American Social Club (credit card payments day-of accepted), Beef ‘O’ Brady’s, Stevie Tomato’s Sports Page and Buffalo Wild Wings (also accepting credit cards day-of). Cash will be accepted at all locations for day-of purchases.
The “last call” trolley run will begin at 10:30 to deliver guests back to their starting points and vehicles.
Sponsorship opportunities are still available, starting at $250 to be a trolley sign sponsor. Those interested can call 239-549-6900, extension 111, for inquires.
“Thank you to all of our trolley sponsors,” said Germain.
She said she hopes this event is the beginning of showcasing all areas of Cape Coral.
“We definitely want to make this an annual and maybe even a semi-annual event showcasing different areas in Cape Coral like Southwest Cape Coral, Central Cape Coral near Santa Barbara, Del Prado and other areas,” said Germain.
Tickets can also be purchased online at www.capecoralchamber.com. Online purchases will be available for pick up at the Chamber Welcome Center prior to the event or at will call on event day.
