Tuesday, June 18, around 5:49 p.m., Cape Police responded to a call for service at 1860 N.E. Pine Island Road in reference to retail theft. The manager of the store reported that three black males entered the business and took numerous devices and left on foot.

According to a report from the CCPD, the manager explained one suspect attempted to distract him by asking about information regarding Apple Air pods when the other two males went to the Apple display stand. One of the males stacked up three iPads on top of one another and ripped them out of the display while the other began to rip three iPhones out of the display simultaneously, police said.
The male who was distracting the manager was described as wearing a long black shirt with grey sweatpants. He reportedly saw an iPhone fall to the ground and retrieved it as well. All three suspects ran on foot out of the store.
The items taken are valued at approximately $5,500, police said. The suspects also caused damage to the Apple display totaling approximately $1,000..
