About the project

The Lee County Department of Transportation and its contractor, Wright Construction Group, is widening Burnt Store Road from Diplomat Parkway to south of Tropicana Parkway to four lanes. The widening project consists of three segments: North, Middle and South. The North Segment was completed in January 2018, and Burnt Store Road from Van Buren Parkway to Diplomat Parkway was widened to a four-lane highway. The Middle Segment covers Diplomat Parkway to south of Tropicana Parkway, and the South Segment is from south of Tropicana Parkway to Pine Island Road. The Burnt Store Road widening project is a top priority of the Lee Board of County Commissioners. For additional information, visit burntstorewidening.com/
