City Parks employee charged with possession of child pornography resigns
A city of Cape Coral Parks & Recreation Department employee who was arrested by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement earlier this month and charged with possession of child pornography has resigned.
“Toby Sheaf resigned from his job with the City, effective today,” a release from the city issued Wednesday states.
Toby Sheaf, 53, a Parks Maintenance Supervisor II, was charged with two counts of obscene material-possess (possession control view depiction child sex conduct) on May 17.
He was suspended with pay following his arrest pending an administrative investigation.
He had been employed by the City since 1997.
Sheaf has been released from the Lee County Jail. Bond was set at $10,000 on each count and was paid on May 18, according to jail records.
His next court appearance is set for June 17.
