City installs signs at new park sites

1 min read

City crews this week began installing signs at future neighborhood and community park sites. The signs are part of the Parks GO Bond project and are being installed to inform nearby residents of the upcoming construction activities that will be taking place in their neighborhood.

The 10 new signs will be installed at the following locations: Gator Circle Park, Sands Park, Lake Kennedy Racquet Center, Yellow Fever Creek Pre-serve, Tropicana Park, Cultural Park, Lake Meade Park, Oasis Woods Park, Crystal Lake Park and Festival Park

Public meetings will take place this fall to solicit input on the amenities for the new parks.

Cape Coral voters ap-proved a $60 million expansion of the city’s parks and recreation amenities in No-vember 2018. The 15-year general obligation bond will fund major parks and recreation improvements throughout the city. These improvements include seven new neighborhood parks and the development of three community parks. Visit www.capecoral.net/GOBond.
