Cape Coral Cardboard Boat Regatta to return at new location

The Cape Coral Cardboard Boat Regatta hosted by the Rotary Club of Cape Coral makes its triumphant return on April 20, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. with a new location, Seahawk Park, at 1030 NW 28th St. in northwest Cape Coral.

While the location is new, expect all the same fun that has become a time-honored tradition here in Cape Coral as cardboard creations of all shapes, sizes, and colors make their way through the waters at Seahawk Park.

Sit on the shoreline and cheer on your favorites as each uniquely crafted boat attempts to not only stay afloat but, win coveted bragging rights and prizes. In addition, there will be food, drink, and more, making it a great day of fun for the whole family.

The 2019 Cape Coral Cardboard Boat Regatta will begin with boat viewing at 11 a.m. and with races beginning at 1 p.m. It’s not too late to enter a boat. There a still a few slots available. The event is free admission. For more information, visit www.capecoralregatta.com .
