UPDATE – FMPD seeks identity of third man in Lee statue vandalism
Update:
The Fort Myers Police Department has released a video image of a third man investigators believe was involved in the damaging the bust of General Robert E. Lee.
The statue was toppled from its podium at the intersection of First Street and Bay Street on Tuesday, March 12.
If any member of the public can identify the individual who accompanied the first two suspects, who were included in the previous release, please forward any information to Detective Averill at 239-321-7797 or aaverill@fmpolice.com or Crimestoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477).

FMPD seeks identity of two believed to have been involved in Gen. Lee bust vandalism
The Fort Myers Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying two male subjects investigators believe were involved with damaging the bust of General Robert E. Lee in Downtown Fort Myers.
The statue was toppled from its podium at the intersection of First Street and Bay Street on Tuesday, March 12.
Anyone with any information regarding the identity of one or both the individuals, is asked to contact FMPD Detective Amanda Averill at 239-321-7797 or aaverill@fmpolice.com.
Tips can also be submitted to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477). Tipsters will remain anonymous and be eligible for a cash reward of up to $3,000. Tips may also be made online at www.southwestfloridacrimestoppers.com or by submitting a tip on the P3Tips mobile app.
