CCPD seeks info on credit card theft
Cape Coral police are seeking the public’s help in locating two people who used credits cards reported stolen in a traffic crash to make purchases at Walmart.
The loss was reported to the Cape Coral Police Department on Nov. 23.
The victim told police that she had been involved in a traffic crash on Nov. 21 on North Cleveland Avenue and Brown Road. Her vehicle had rolled over several times and she was transported to a local hospital. Some of her things were left behind in the vehicle or somewhere at the crash scene, including her purse, which contained a wallet and some credit cards.
“When the victim was able to get to her vehicle to retrieve her purse she noticed that her credit cards were missing and that there had been fraudulent use on all three cards,” a CCPD release issued Wednesday states. “One of the locations a credit card was used was WalMart in Cape Coral.”
The CCPD release includes security stills in connection with their investigation.
Anyone with any information on the identity of the individuals pictured is asked to contact the Cape Coral Police Department at 239-574-3223.
