Bike Night is back: Motorcycles, music return to 47th Terrace Saturday
One of Cape Coral’s most popular events is back this Saturday as Bike Night returns to Southeast 47th Terrace for a night of impressive choppers, great food and drinks and live music.
“We’d like to welcome the community out to Cape Coral for another awesome Bike Night and rock n’roll,” said Cape Coral Special Events Coordinator, Todd King.
The event begins at 5 p.m., with live music taking the outdoor stage beginning at 6.
Maiden Cane will perform until 7:30, and Quiet Riot performs at 8.
Famed grunge-rock band, Candlebox, will be playing at Nevermind Bar the same night as well.
Motorcycle lovers and aficionados from across the region can come out and show off their Harley, Ducati, Triumph, BMW, Yamaha, or whatever other two-wheeled toy they have.
“Seeing the motorcycles is my favorite part of the event,” said King. “The customization is creative, unique, and flat-out cool.
“A lot of people love motorcycles, and it allows the community to come together and show off their bikes, and share them with the motorcycle community.”
Even if you don’t own a bike yourself, the event offers lots of fun and great live bands to keep energy high and drinks flowing.
Vendors will be set up for all food, drink and even motorcycle accessory and apparel needs.
As for the new location, King believes the work that has been done to Southeast 47th Terrance will be a great opportunity for future events such as Bike Night.
“We’re excited to be back on 47th Terrace,” he said. “With the new StreetScape project, we think it’s going to be a tremendous venue for events.”
Some of the usual entertainment, such as “slow bike races” will not be held due to ongoing construction.
Bike Night is a four-part event in the Cape, talking place the second Saturday of October, December, February and April.
Alternate months, the event is held in Fort Myers.
