SCHEA’s 5th annual Black Friday Trolley Event and Little Black Dress Party Friday
Take a break from the holiday shopping on Friday and enjoy the festivities in the South Cape.
Hosted by the South Cape Hospitality and Entertainment Associations, the 5th Annual Black Friday Trolley Event and Little Black Dress Party will take place from 7 to 11 p.m. at 11 participating venues. Each location will serve up a $2.50 speciality drink, with the chance to win a TV, jewelry and more.
“Instead of going out shopping, we’re asking people to come on the trolleys and win some gifts,” SCHEA Executive Director Donna Meola said.
Tickets are $10 in advance or $15 starting Thursday.
Each attendee will receive a passport that they can get stamped at all of the venues. Completed passports are then turned in for a chance to win the grand prize – a 50-inch LED television.
“Who doesn’t want a 50-inch TV?” she asked of why SCHEA picked it for the prize.
Women who wear a black dress for the event will have their passports marked. They will have an additional opportunity to win a white gold necklace from Zak’s Jewelry, valued at about $295.
“I believe it’s cubic zirconia,” Meola said.
Trivia games aboard the trolleys provide another shot at taking home goodies.
“The swag on the trolleys,” she said.
Trolley winnings include gift cards to participating locations, as well as T-shirts and such.
For the second time, Santa will be set up in the lobby of the Dolphin Key Resort.
“Santa will be at the photo booth for photos with Santa,” Meola said.
Among the venues, the $2.50 speciality drinks run the gamut.
Some of the titles are Pumpkin White Russian, The Monroe, Tropical Christmas, Black Friday Sunset, Cran-Tini, The Wicked Pilgrim, Blackberry Rocktart, Blue Panties, Apple Sauce and Black Russian.
“They all come up with fun concoctions related to the holiday,” she said.
Tickets are available at BackStreets Sports Bar, along with Designated Driver tickets for $10. They can also be purchased on www.eventbrite.com at “South Cape Black Friday & Little Black Dress Party.”
The check-in booths will be open from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in Big John’s and at the Dixie Roadhouse. Late check-in will be held from 7:30 to 10 p.m. in the lobby of the Dolphin Key Resort and at the Dixie.
Organizers encouraged the community to pick up tickets.
“Come out and celebrate the holidays with all of your friends in the South Cape,” Meola said.
