Coral Oaks Golf Course to reopen this weekend
Coral Oaks Golf Course will reopen to the public this weekend after being closed for several days to prepare for and then clean up from Hurricane Irma. On Saturday, Sept. 16, the driving range and Knickers Pub will be open for business beginning at 7 a.m. and the golf course will reopen for play on Sunday, Sept. 17, at 7 a.m. utilizing temporary greens. Special summer renovation rates of $20 before 3 p.m. or $15 after 3 p.m., including sales tax and cart fee remain in effect until the new greens open in early October.
“Staff has been working non-stop since Tuesday so we can offer the public some hurricane relief and enjoyment this weekend,” said Allen Manguson, Coral Oaks manager, in a prepared statement. “We encourage everyone to come out, hit some range balls, watch football while enjoying food and drink specials in Knickers Pub, and decompress from a stressful week.” While the course will be playable Sunday and will remain open daily for public play, clean-up of small debris from the storm will continue until the job is complete.
