Cape police investigating double drowning

Cape Coral Police are investigating a tragic pool drowning that resulted in the deaths of two young children late Monday night.

Cape Coral Police and Cape Coral Fire responded to a condo complex in the 1300 block of Southwest 47th Terrace at 11 p.m. in reference to a drowning.

The 3-year old boy and a 1-year old girl had been pulled from a pool. A family member told police he did not know how the children got outside.

The children were transported to a local hospital, where both were pronounced dead.
