A North Fort Myers man was arrested Thursday after he sent inappropriate chat messages and naked pictures of himself to a teen in Tennessee, state officials said Friday.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement arrested Daniel Kunrod, 38, of 13410 Wild Cotton Court, and charged him with one count of use of a computer to solicit/seduce/entice a minor, a third degree felony, and one count of promotion of a sexual act of a minor, a second degree felony, according to a release issued by the agency.

“FDLE was contacted by the Nashville Police Department with information that a 16 year old female had been receiving sexually explicit chat messages from a person named Daniel Kunrod living in Florida,” the release states. “During chats with the child, Kunrod allegedly sent nude pictures and videos of himself. The investigation revealed Kunrod also requested the child send him sexual images of her.”

Kunrod was arrested by FDLE agents and transported to the Lee County Jail where he was being held as of Friday afternoon. Bond on each charge was set at $50,000.

The case will be prosecuted by the Office of the State Attorney, 20th Judicial Circuit.
