Former Cape resident victim in double homicide in New Hampshire

3 min read

A former Cape Coral resident died early Sunday morning in New Hampshire in what investigators say was a double homicide.

The body of Christine Sullivan, 48, was discovered in a residence in Farmington by police responding to a 3 a.m. emergency call. Also found deceased in the rural-area home at 979 Meaderboro Road was Jenna Pellegrini, 32.

In an autopsy performed Tuesday, Chief Medical Examiner Dr. Thomas A. Andrew determined that cause of Sullivan’s death was multiple stab wounds as well as blunt impact injuries and the manner of Sullivan’s death was homicide, according to a release issued by the New Hampshire Office of the Attorney General Joseph A. Foster.

Andrew also determined that the cause of Pellegrini’s death was multiple stab wounds and the manner of Pellegrini’s death was homicide.

The investigation into the circumstances surrounding Sullivan’s and Pellegrini’s deaths remains active and ongoing, officials said Wednesday.

Anyone with information about the whereabouts of the victims in the days leading up to Jan. 29, or regarding the facts or circumstances of the murders, is asked to contact Sgt. Brian Strong of the New Hampshire State Police at 603-223-4381.

Sullivan was a photographer in Cape Coral for several years, specializing in portraiture and candid images captured from the local music scene.

“She was probably one of the kindest big-hearted people I’ve ever met,” said Wendy Tuttle-Davis. “She would go out of her way to help just about anybody. I’ll never forget how she filled an RV with donations to take to the victims Hurricane Sandy.”

Sullivan also took photos for her.

“My wedding was a weekend-long event and she spent the weekend with us taking pictures (of) all the festivities at no charge. She also took pictures at my daughter’s 11th grade prom at Centennial Park at no charge. She was always ready willing and able to help anyone.”

Dana Caldwell shared a similar memory.

Although he knew Sullivan only casually, she jumped in to help organize a fundraiser for a close friend of his, a single mom with advanced breast cancer, who Sullivan had not met.

“Right then, right there, Christine… got a legal pad and pen and began making calls and planning. Nine days later, the BackStreets benefit she spear-headed (and that made the newspapers and local TV stations) was a smashing success. An armful of fantastic bands, a plethora of top-notch auction and raffle items and an unimaginable slew of folks raised thousands and thousands of dollars and Christine ‘adopted’ Susan and her young son, Roman. That dear friendship lasted the rest of Susan’s too-short life.”

A local memorial service is being planned, Caldwell said.
