2 min read

The city will host its second Cape Bike Night of the 2016-17 season on Saturday night.

Cape Bike Night will take place from 5 to 10 p.m. along Southeast 47th Terrace in the South Cape. Hosted by the Cape Coral Parks and Recreation Department, it will feature live entertainment on two different stages, motorcycle activities and vendors specializing in motorcycle gear and accessories.

The festivities are free and open to the public.

Officials previously noted that about 15,000 people typically attend the events.

There will be two stages set up, with bands scheduled to perform on each.

The first stage, called the Event Field Stage, will be at Southeast Eighth Court and Southeast 47th Terrace. It will showcase The Double Standard from 6 to 7:30 p.m., then Razing Cape at 8 p.m.

The second stage will be outside of the Dixie Roadhouse, on Southeast 11th Place. Bad Company Tribute will perform from 6:45 to 7:30 p.m., followed by Modern Superstar from 8 to 9 p.m.

Hell’s Bells, an all-female AC/DC tribute band, will take the stage from 9:30 to 10:45 p.m. For a $5 cover charge, head inside of the Dixie to watch Foreigner Tribute perform starting at 9:30 p.m.

The Harley Davidson Slow Bike Race Arena will offer attendees a chance to participate in fun activities, like the slow bike race. With races for men and women, it tests slow rider skills.

It is free to sign up and participate in the race.

The winner will receive a $100 gift card to Six Bends Harley-Davidson.

In addition to the music and activities, there will be a multitude of vendors on site. In the past, the vendors have sold everything from motorcycle clothing, to accessories and enhancements for bikes.

Food and drinks will be available for purchase.

The remaining Cape Bike Night dates for the season are Feb. 11 and April 8.
