Skid Row performance at Six Bends Harley-Davidson postponed

Due to Hurricane Matthew and expected inclement weather, the Skid Row concert originally scheduled for Friday, Oct. 7 at Six Bends Harley-Davidson has been postponed until further notice.

The decision was made to protect the health and safety of everyone involved, organizers said.

The band is still set to perform on Saturday, Oct. 8, at Nevermind Awesome Bar & Eatery in Cape Coral as part of Cape Coral Bike Night. Nevermind concert tickets are available here: www.eventbrite.com/e/skid-row-concert-at-cape-coral-bike-night-tickets-27314657877.

Tickets for the Friday performance and associated prices from the original show will be honored. Ticketholders are encouraged to retain their tickets and use them for the rescheduled show. The new performance date will be announced upon confirmation. For those unable to attend the rescheduled concert, refunds will be provided via completing the “contact” form on EventBrite: www.eventbrite.com/e/skid-row-concert-at-top-rocker-field-tickets-27305449334.

The rest of the ScootinAmerica Homecoming Rally weekend of events are still scheduled to take place. This a celebration of Adam Sandoval and his Chihuahua, Scooter, and their journey across the country to raise money for veterans.

On Oct. 8, Adam and Scooter will join local riders in an attempt to break the world record for the longest parade of Harley-Davidson motorcycles. The ride, requiring more than 2,400 motorcyclists, will begin at 11 a.m. with registration opening at 9 a.m. Registration is $10 per rider and $5 per passenger.

Following the ride, attendees will enjoy Florida Hot Rods and Hogs’ Car and Bike Show from noon to 5 p.m., complete with food trucks and vendors. Following the showcase, attendees are invited to join Adam Sandoval on a ride to Cape Coral Bike Night.

On Oct. 9, Six Bends Harley-Davidson will host a Blessing of the Bikes and brunch for local riders from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Afterward, the community is invited to enjoy live blues music, a selection of barbeque vendors and more.
