Cape Coral City Council will close out its meeting schedule for 2015 on Monday with another light budget agenda.

Council is expected to approve resolutions finalizing city incentive agreements for the construction of the conference center at the Westin Resort and the location of MobilMAX USA, a manufacturing entity based in Taiwan, in Cape Coral to launch is USA market expansion.

City staff has prepared a new ordinance governing animal control that mirrors the Lee County Animal Control ordinance for the purpose of better efficiency between the two governing bodies.

Council also will hear updated reports from staff on the Chiquita Boat Lock removal project, its species management practices as well as an update on the water quality efforts with state agencies spearheaded by Sanibel Mayor Kevin Ruane with the full support of all five municipalities in Lee County.

After a three-week break for the holidays, council will resume its regular weekly meetings on Jan. 11, 2016.
