2 min read

A 1,484-acre parcel of continuous land in Cape Coral will be sold in a sealed bid auction by Madison Hawk, a national real estate firm and industry leader specializing in structured accelerated sales.

The property has been family-owned for over 50 years and is now being offered at auction in a Court-Ordered Sale at the direction of the Trustee, according to a press release announcing the sale. The sealed bid deadline is Tuesday, Oct. 20.

Situated east of Burnt Store Road with frontage on Jacaranda Parkway, Chiquita Boulevard and the Gator Slough Canal in Cape Coral, the land offers a premium development opportunity with the original conceptual plan featuring over 1,600 homes. The southern 232-acres is zoned R-1 and R-2 residential, permitting 10,000 to 20,000 square foot lots, and the remainder of the property remains Agricultural.

“Cape Coral recently received some of South Florida’s highest marks on an index gauging housing strength published by Freddie Mac,” said Jeffrey Hubbard, president of Madison Hawk. “Its rating was second to only Miami. This auction has created an outstanding opportunity for developers and investors to name their price and purchase a substantial amount of land positioned for future development.”

Also included in the auction for bid separately from the Cape Coral property are several scattered homesites just across the Caloosahatchee River in the Fort Meyers area. The lots are comprised of various infill development parcels and will be offered in one package. Included in the properties, which will be sold Absolute, regardless of price, are:

– 2900 Royal Palm Avenue;

– 2925 Central Avenue;

– 3854 Veronica S. Shoemaker Boulevard;

– Several lots other scattered lots.

On-site inspection for the properties will be available on Oct. 6 and 15 at 9:30 a.m. Sealed bids should be sent to the New York City offices of Madison Hawk Partners, LLC, Attn: Cape Coral Project Manager, 575 Lexington Ave., Suite 4017, New York, NY 10022.
