Cape Coral man arrested on drug charges
A months-long investigation has resulted in the arrest of a Cape Coral man on drug charges after a search turned up heroin and drug equipment, officials said.
Joshua Scott Schildgen, 27, of 4511 Skyline Blvd. #1 was charged with sale of heroin, possession of heroin, possession of weapon/ammo by a convicted felon, and possession of drug equipment after Cape Coral police served a search warrant at his residence on Tuesday.
Cape Coral Police Department Vice, Intelligence, and Narcotics detectives, with the assistance of the Street Crimes Unit and SWAT Team, executed the warrant just after 4:20 p.m., officials said in a release issued Wednesday, adding the warrant yielded a total of 8.8 grams of heroin.
Detectives had been actively working this case for several months, the release states.
