Cape Coral man wins $1 million with scratch-off ticket
A Cape Coral man hit the jackpot with a scratch-off lottery ticket.
Troy Kepley, 53, of Cape Coral, claimed a $1 million prize in the $10,000,000 FLORIDA CASH Scratch-Off game at Florida Lottery headquarters in Tallahassee.
Kepley chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $756,800.
He purchased his winning ticket from Berkley BP at 1114 Berkley Road in Auburndale. The retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket.
The $25 game, $10,000,000 FLORIDA CASH, features more than 11 million winning tickets and more than $624 million in total cash prizes! The game’s overall odds of winning are one-in-2.88.
Scratch-Off games are an important part of the Lottery’s portfolio of games, comprising approximately 67 percent of ticket sales and generating more than $632 million for the Educational Enhancement Trust Fund in fiscal year 2014-15.
