SpongeBob event at SunSplash this weekend
Nickelodeon’s SpongeBob SquarePants is coming to Sun Splash Family Waterpark on Saturday, June 13.
The popular star of the animated television series of the same name will be at the park from noon to 3 p.m. Guests who visit the park that afternoon will have a chance to meet and greet SpongeBob as well as shake hands, hug, and get photos taken with him so everyone should be sure to bring a camera, organizers said.
Regular park admission prices apply.
Later the same day, Sun Splash will host its first “Family Fun Night” of the summer from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. featuring all of the park’s regular attractions at the discounted admission rates of $7 per Cape Coral resident, $9 per non-resident or $3 for same day park visitors who wish to return for the evening’s activities. Sales tax and parking fee not included.
“We know that SpongeBob SquarePants is one of highest ranked shows on Nickelodeon and very popular amongst our younger park visitors, so we are excited that he is returning to Sun Splash again this summer,” said Sandra Greiner, waterpark manager, in a prepared statement. “In addition, Family Fun Nights continue to be a popular way for families to spend time together at Sun Splash, and the discounted evening pricing makes the park accessible to an even greater portion of the community.”
Sun Splash is currently open every day from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Aug. 23. In addition, Family Fun Nights are scheduled from 5:30 p.m -8:30 p.m. the second Saturday of the month and “After Hours Events” are scheduled from 6-10 p.m. the fourth Friday of every month through August (weather permitting).
