Mels’ Diner to offer free breakfast with donation to Golisano Children’s Hospital on Jan. 10
This Friday, Jan. 10, from 6:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., all Mel’s Diner locations will offer a complimentary breakfast to guests who make a $5 donation to Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida.
Guests can go to any Mel’s Diner location, make their $5 donation and receive the complimentary meal. The complimentary breakfast includes eggs, pancakes, bacon and coffee or tea. All Mel’s Diner locations – Cape Coral, Bonita Springs, Fort Myers, Golden Gate and Naples are participating in the fundraising effort.
Through Jan. 17, guests of Mel’s Diner also will have the opportunity to make a $300 donation to become a “Cat Country 107.1FM Helping Kids with Cancer Guardian Angel” (also payable at $25 per month). With a gift at this level, donors will receive a $100 gift card to Mel’s Diner.
In support of the cause Mel’s will also be selling chance drawing tickets for two guests to attend the March 24, 1:05 p.m. Minnesota Twins vs. Tampa Bay Rays spring training game at Hammond Stadium and throw out the ceremonial first pitch. Tickets for the baseball drawing are $5 or 5 tickets for $20.
The funds raised at the breakfast, through the guardian angel donations and the baseball drawing will be directed to Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida’s capital campaign via Barbara’s Friends – Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida’s Cancer Fund.
The annual breakfast fundraising promotion helps kick off the 12th Annual “Cat Country 107.1FM Helping Kids with Cancer” Radiothon set for Friday, Jan. 17, at Clear Channel Broadcasting in Fort Myers.
The Radiothon will be broadcast live on Cat Country 107.1FM from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
