With Lee County Public School District’s new school year beginning on Aug. 8, Sun Splash Family Waterpark is winding down its summer operating schedule.

The park is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Aug. 7 then will be open weekends only until the season ends on Sept. 29. The final “Family Fun Night” of the season will be held on Saturday, Aug. 10, from 5:30 p.m. -8:30 p.m.

“Family Fun Night” will feature music, food specials, a chance to meet Swish the Fish, and several prize drawings throughout the evening. Park visitors can also experience over 14 acres of slides, tubes, and attractions, including Sun Splash’s three thrilling speed slides, Main Stream River, and a Tot Spot for the little ones. Park admission for “Family Fun Night” is $7 plus tax per Cape Coral resident, $9 plus tax per non-resident, $3 for same day park visitors who wish to return for the evening’s activities and free for season pass holders. Parking is not included.

“We realize how hectic and stressful the first week back to school can be,” said Sandra Greiner, Waterpark manager in a prepared statement. “Family Fun Night is the perfect way for families to take a break from it all and spend quality time together at an affordable price before fall sports and activities start to kick back in.”
