Westin Resort earns top designation

2 min read

The Westin Cape Coral Resort at Marina Village has earned a designation that very few resorts earn.

The resort has earned the American Auto Association’s Four Diamond rating, the highest rating that AAA can give, making the waterfront resort the third in the Fort Myers region to receive the award.

The Four Diamond rating is achieved by fewer than 4 percent of the nearly 59,000 properties reviewed. It is evaluated by AAA inspectors who conduct unannounced evaluations and scored the resort on the offerings of upscale accommodations, amenities, hospitality, service and attention to detail.

“We are honored to have been recognized by the AAA community,” said Eric Ashton, general manager of The Westin Cape Coral Resort at Marina Village. “This award is proof of all the hard work our team has put in to transform this resort into a superior waterfront destination for all our guests.”

The Westin Cape Coral Resort at Marina Village opened in December in Tarpon Point, featuring 263 rooms and suites with waterfront views of the Caloosahatchee River, San Carlos Bay and the Gulf of Mexico.

Some of the amenities the resort was commended for include a lagoon-style outdoor pool, world-class dining, a full service marina with water sports, clay tennis courts, an amphitheater, sightseeing cruises, and world-class fishing.

“AAA is pleased to recognize The Westin Cape Coral Resort at Marina Village as a Four Diamond hotel,” said Michael Petrone, director of AAA Tourism Information Development. “To maintain the exceptional standards required for this rating on a daily basis is an outstanding achievement.”

The Weston offers dining at Marker 92 Waterfront Bar & Bistro and The Nauti Mermaid Dockside Bar & Grill and 25,000 square feet of meeting and function space.

The resort also offers a complimentary water taxi that takes guests from the resort’s marina directly to nearby Fort Myers Beach.

The Westin brand’s SuperFoodsRX menu and a renovated WestinWORKOUT fitness studio are also available to all guests.

Following more renovations, the resort will also offer a brand-new Westin Kids Club and convert its 4,000-foot spa to a Westin Heavenly Spa.

Currently, just 1,535 hotels and 754 restaurants hold the AAA Four Diamond rating.

In celebration of this award, guests who book the AAA rate through Sept. 30 will receive two vouchers per room for a Strawberry Mojito.
