Sun Splash to offer free admission to dads
Sun Splash Family Waterpark is offering free admission to dads during Father’s Day Weekend, June 15-16, with the purchase of a regular priced child or teen ticket.
In addition, dads can register to win more than $800 worth of prizes during the weekend, including a two-night stay at Diamond Head Beach Resort, a $250 gift certificate to Bass Pro Shops, a kayak rental at Tarpon Point Marina and free golf at Coral Oaks Golf Course.
Also on Saturday, June 15, Nickelodeon’s famous SpongeBob SquarePants will be at Sun Splash for a special appearance from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Guests who visit the park that day will have a chance to meet and greet SpongeBob as well as shake hands, hug, and get photos taken with him so are encouraged to bring their cameras.
“We recognize that many family entertainment budgets are stretched thin, so are pleased to offer the Father’s Day Weekend special as a fun and affordable way for families to thank dad and spend quality time together,” said Sandie Greiner, waterpark manager, in a prepared statement. “We are also thrilled that Sun Splash is one of the select locations that SpongeBob SquarePants will be visiting this summer and that we can give park guests the value added opportunity to meet him.”
The water park is currently open every day from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Aug. 7.
“Family Fun Nights” are scheduled to take place the second Saturday of every month through August from 5:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m. and “Aqua Theatre Nights” are scheduled from 6-10 p.m. the fourth Friday of every month through July (weather permitting).
