Cape Coral Mayors Scholarship honorees feted
The Mayors Scholarship Fund’s award dinner was held Wednesday night at The Westin Cape Coral Resort at Marina Village at Tarpon Point. Thanks to the generosity of the organization and numerous sponsors, 19 scholarships were awarded this year.
Each scholarship sponsor presented a student with his or her award. The Breeze Newspapers is one of the long-time sponsors of the awards, now in their 31st year.
“We are honored to be among those dedicated to a program that recognizes the best among our city’s youth,” said Publisher Scott Blonde. “As always, this is a most deserving group of young people whose accomplishments bode well for their futures. We are grateful that we can be a small part of that.”
