Chamber to present Speed Politics

The Chamber of Commerce of Cape Coral will present its third Annual Speed Politics event on April 25at Oasis High School, 3519 Oasis Boulevard in Cape Coral.

The event will run from 5:30 pm 8:30 pm.

Speed Politics brings constituents together with their elected officials and representatives from our local utilities such as WastePro and LCEC. Each official will be assigned a classroom to serve as their “headquarters” throughout the event. The constituents will be divided into groups that will participate in a series of Q&A sessions as they rotate rooms throughout the evening.

“We are so pleased to offer events like this to the community,” said Mike Quaintance, Chamber president, in a prepared statement. “It is so important to know what government is doing for your community and events like this help keep the constituents informed.”

Participants will include Cape Coral Mayor John Sullivan; Cape Coral councilmembers Marty McClain, John Carioscia, Lenny Nesta, Rana Erbrick, Kevin McGrail, Derrick L. Donnell Ed. D; Lee County Commissioners John Manning, Larry Kiker, Cecil Pendergrass; Lee County Tax Collector Larry Hart and representatives from LCEC and WastePro.

Sponsors include The News-Press, Smargasy Creative Solutions, Lamar Advertising, Tetra Tech, High Fidelity Studios, Dixie Roadhouse, CDM Smith, LCEC and Kirkwood Electric.
